Another Plushroom that can fit into multiple categories! Based on a real mushroom, Amanita pantherina, this brown amanita fits into my ever growing rainbow of Plushrooms and also the scientific category
The latest batch of this Plushroom type turned out a bit chonky. The stem fabric is a sherpa fleece that had quite a bit of stretch to it so the stems are rather rotund. The cap is a faux leather fabric that is different from all the other amanita colors. Instead of the bright white stem, gills and details that the other amanita colors have, this type is off-white to compliment the brown. Dots are painted on by hand, so each mushy is unique just as Mother Nature intended. At the bottom are 2 tags - one with care instructions and the other has this mushroom's names.
They are weighted with rice to stand on their own, so that you can have a fluffy mushy growing just about anywhere in your home!
Large mushrooms stand 10" tall and about 10" wide. These also have a skirt/veil piece
Small mushrooms are 8" tall and about 8" wide. Still pretty big for a mushroom!
Mushrooms are rarely seen alone. Collect a whole family!
In the spirit of fungi, I try to bring trash back to life when making my creations. I aim to source materials as ethically as possible and I love shopping for fabric at thrift and second hand shops. This way I get the most unique textiles. I also reuse shipping materials and your Plushroom might come in a Kombucha box! I also stuff some of my pillows with floof that is a byproduct from a local factory. Reduce Reuse Recycle!
