A classic when it comes to mushrooms! Everyone is familiar with the Portobello type, but you know that from the grocery store portobello, crimini, and white button mushrooms are all the same type? It's Agaricus bisporus in different stages of growth.
This type of plushroomis made with a soft textured upholstery fabric as the cap, dark brown corduroy gills, and soft off white stem. At the bottom are 2 tags - one with care instructions and the other has this mushroom's names.
In the spirit of fungi, I try to bring trash to back to life when making my Plushrooms. I stuff them with upcycled polyester floof that is a byproduct from a local factory and I divert it from the landfill. I source many of the fabrics from thrift and second hand shops. I wash and check each piece for quality before using.
They are weighted with rice to stand on their own, so that you can have a fluffy mushy growing just about anywhere in your home!
Large mushrooms stand 10" tall and about 10" wide. These have a skirt piece to represent the universal veil
Small mushrooms are 8" tall and about 8" wide. Still pretty big for a mushroom!
Mushrooms are rarely seen alone. Collect a whole family!
