This plushroom was inspired by photos of the Verdigris Agaric type on Instagram. Scientific name Stropharia aeruginosa. I just love the snowy look and bright color!
The cap of this Plushroom is made from a minky light teal fabric with a white ruffled edge to texture. The gills are white corduroy and stem is matching upcycled microfiber. It's so soft! At the bottom are 2 tags - one with care instructions and the other has this mushroom's names.
In the spirit of fungi, I try to bring trash to back to life when making my Plushrooms. I stuff them with upcycled polyester floof that is a byproduct from a local factory and I divert it from the landfill. I source many of the fabrics from thrift and second hand shops. I wash and check each piece for quality before using.
They are weighted with rice to stand on their own, so that you can have a fluffy mushy growing just about anywhere in your home!
Large mushrooms stand 10" tall and about 10" wide.
Small mushrooms are 8" tall and about 8" wide. Still pretty big for a mushroom!
Mushrooms are rarely seen alone. Collect a whole family!
